Yoga Teacher: Vinyasa
My Story
In February 2018 our family moved to Redondo Beach, California along with all our worldly possessions, including our pet pooch, Molly. My new life was high on adrenaline but in constant fight or flight mode while trying to appear calm and controlled on the outside.
As yoga is huge in LA, I gave it a try. I instantly felt positive vibes and love from the most fantastic teacher, Marla Wedge who was in her 60’s and practicing yoga for over 30 years. The music was good, pace dynamic, and her readings from Rumi mixed with her own words of wisdom, bred positivity. I became more at one with myself. Gradually a special connection between the practice and my mind, breath and body came together. It was great for my mental wellbeing, my grounding, and it became my passion.
The next five years was a path of self discovery. I began my inner journey of letting go of what didn’t serve me. I completed my first 200 hours of yoga teacher training with a beautiful soul, Justin Randolph of Sol Seek Yoga in Manhattan Beach. After returning to the UK in 2022, a friend’s encouragement to share my gift is why I now teach.
Yoga has taught me movement but also a deeper understanding of being a better person through compassion, gratitude, non-judgement and contentment. On a lighter note I can now proudly say I have grown one inch and can finally celebrate being 5ft 0!
My aim is to create an inclusive joyful class, to get out of our messy minds, to be in the moment. Focus on what feels right for you in your body at that moment. To be your guide through a flowing vinyasa practice.
